Scott Company filed an appeal (Scott Co. v. Workers’ Comp. Appeals Bd. (1983) 139 Cal.App.3d 98) after the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board concluded that the company was solely responsible for injuries suffered by a Scott Employee. Melvin Stanley received a mesothelioma diagnosis as a result of asbestos exposure in the workplace.
