Pittsburgh Corning Corning Corp. filed an appeal (Pittsburg Corning Corning Corp. v. Walters 1 S.W.3d 759 (1999)) in a mesothelioma lawsuit after the courts awarded benefits to Cecile Walters following the death of her husband due to workplace asbestos exposure. Mr. Walters was exposed to asbestos while overseeing the construction of nuclear submarines for the U.S. Navy.
