Unocal Corp. filed an appeal (Kinsman v. Unocal Corp. (2003) 110 Cal.App.4th 826) after the courts awarded personal injury damages in a mesothelioma lawsuit filed by Ray Kinsman. Mr. Kinsman received a mesothelioma diagnosis following several years of workplace asbestos exposure as an independent construction contractor at a Unocal refinery.
