Janice Hughes filed an appeal (Hughes v. Western MacArthur Co. (1987) 192 Cal.App.3d 951) after she was denied benefits following the death of her husband from mesothelioma and asbestosis. Mrs. Hughes, husband was exposed to asbestos while working for Western Asbestos Company from 1944 to 1977.
