Elaine Hoffman filed an appeal (Hoffman v. AC&S, INC. 548 S.E.2d 379 (2001) 248 Ga. App. 608) when she was denied personal injury damages in her mesothelioma lawsuit against 16 manufacturers of asbestos-containing products. Hoffman received a mesothelioma diagnosis after years of second hand asbestos exposure in her childhood home.
