Cassiar Mining Corp. filed an appeal (Gutierrez v. Cassiar Mining Corp. (1998) 64 Cal.App.4th 148) after the courts awarded personal injury damages in an asbestos lawsuit filed by Frank Gutierrez. Frank suffered asbestos exposure while working at a cement manufacturing plant to which Cassiar supplied the asbestos fibers.
