Joe Fernandez filed an appeal (Fernandez v. Union Carbide Corp. 937 So.2d 750 (2006)) in his asbestos lawsuit against Union Carbide over his asbestos-related injuries. Fernandez received an asbestosis diagnosis after several years of workplace asbestos exposure while working as a drywall installer.
