Bernie and Mary Chavers filed an appeal in a mesothelioma lawsuit (Chavers v. Gatke Corp. (2003) 107 Cal.App.4th 606) brought against Gatke Corporation. Mr. Chavers received a mesothelioma diagnosis after several years of asbestos exposure while working as an automobile mechanic repairing friction breaks.
