Brown & Root, Incorporated filed an appeal (Brown & Root, Inc. v. Sain162 F.3d 813 (1998)) in a mesothelioma lawsuit after the courts awarded benefits to Frances Sain, following her husband’s death following asbestos exposure in the workplace. Mr. Sain was employed by Brown & Root, Inc. as an electrician for several years before receiving a mesothelioma diagnosis.
