Baptist v. Workers’ Comp. Appeals Bd. (1982) 137 Cal.App.3d 903

April 9th, 2010

Frances Baptist filed an appeal (Baptist v. Workers’ Comp. Appeals Bd. (1982) 137 Cal.App.3d 903) against the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board after she was denied $50,000 in benefits following the death of her husband, John. Mrs. Baptist claimed that her husband’s death was caused by asbestos exposure while working as a machine-tender and shingle-maker from 1936 to 1965.

The California 1st District Court of Appeals reviewed Mrs. Baptist’s appeal and published it’s ruling on November 2, 1982. To read the appeals court’s decision, please visit the Mesothelioma and Asbestos Documents Database hosted by the mesothelioma attorneys at Hissey Kientz, LLP.
