Ellen Ashdown filed an appeal (Ashdown v. Ameron Internat Corp. 2000 83 Cal.App.4th 868) in a mesothelioma lawsuit filed after the death of her husband, Gary Smith, from asbestos-related injuries. Smith received a mesothelioma diagnosis after working as a pipe inspector for Ameron from 1964-1966.
