Arndt v. Workers’ Comp. Appeals Bd., 56 Cal.App.3d 139
Erla Arndt filed an appeal (Arndt v. Workers’ Comp. Appeals Bd., 56 Cal.App.3d 139) after the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board denied benefits following the death of her husband, John, from mesothelioma caused by exposure to asbestos. The appeals board ruled that Mrs. Arndt was not entitled to collect benefits because her claim was filed more than a year after his mesothelioma death and more than 240 weeks after he had suffered asbestos exposure.
The California 1st District Court of Appeals reviewed Mrs. Arndt’s appeal and published its ruling on March 10, 1976. To read the appeals court’s decision, please visit the Mesothelioma and Asbestos Documents Database hosted by the mesothelioma lawyers at Hissey Kientz, LLP.
