Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corporation and Asbestos Corporation Limited filed an appeal (ARENA v. OWENS CORNING CORP. 74 Cal.Rptr.2d 580 (1998) 63 Cal.App.4th 1178) after the courts awarded personal injury damages in a mesothelioma lawsuit filed by Angelo Arena. Arena received a mesothelioma diagnosis due to exposure to asbestos-containing products while working as a machinist and engineering technician at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Washington.
